While volunteering for his son’s local Boy Scout troop, founder David Wood spent dozens of hours planning monthly campouts for 180 scouts and chaperones. These recurring events required hours of spreadsheet management, email coordination, and manual data entry that was both time consuming and tedious. He knew there had to be a more efficient way to complete all these organizational tasks and streamline the process. David founded Eventene in 2016 to tackle this challenge not just for his son’s Boy Scout troop, but for all event planners.
A general solution to this seemingly colossal problem was deceptively simple: events can be broken down into a series of parts, each with distinct arrangements of people and places. With this insight, David’s vision—a unified event management application—soon took shape as Eventene. Now Eventene is available to you so you can put aside the hassle and commitment required to plan events and start enjoying them.
At Eventene, we believe that event planning can be simple, cost-effective, and even fun! We promise to listen to our customers and strive to improve our products continuously to meet these goals and fulfill our mission.
Our mission is to provide powerful and flexible software that streamlines the process of organizing and running group events.
Organizing events should be easier, less time consuming, and not require advanced spreadsheet skills.
Eventene was designed to scale, not only to handle tens of thousands of event planners simultaneously, but also to handle events with thousands of people. Eventene runs in secure cloud-based facilities using modern web browsers and mobile devices.
Organizing group events requires far too much time and effort. Volunteers and staff members have better things to do with their time than toil away performing these thankless tasks. The old way to organize events involved moving data from one system to another, from spreadsheets to surveying tools, then back again to the original spreadsheets. Hours are wasted. With Eventene, the data moves smoothly from one phase to the next, all within the same database system and the process becomes streamlined and efficient.
To put a typical event planning problem into perspective, consider trying to coordinate rides for a classroom field trip involving 30 students and 8 volunteer drivers. There are over 50 thousand possible arrangements of the students into the cars. Raise that number to 100 students and 20 cars, and there are over 20 million possible combinations. Eventene performs the heavy lifting required to arrange that many people with its auto-assigning capabilities.
