Privacy Policy for Eventene, Inc.

Eventene, Inc. (“Eventene”) is committed to protecting the privacy of users of our website, www.eventene.com, other websites under the eventene.com domain, and our Eventene mobile application (collectively, the “Services”). Eventene provides the Services to users on behalf of our enterprise customers, as a service provider and data processor. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any websites, mobile applications or other online services that do not link to this policy, including other services provided by our enterprise customers.

To accommodate the diverse needs of our users and partners, our application is also provided through white-label versions, developed for and released under our clients' brands. Our commitment to your privacy and data protection remains steadfast across all versions of our app. This policy outlines our data handling practices for both our branded application and any white-label versions thereof. Our company works closely with our clients to ensure the technology powering these apps adheres to high privacy and security standards, consistent with legal and regulatory requirements.

We collect information from users, including event organizers, participants in events, visitors to the Eventene websites and mobile application, and individuals contacting Eventene support. This Privacy Policy explains how we may collect, use, share and otherwise process this information in connection with the Services and when you otherwise interact with us.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Personal contact and profile information, such as your first and last name, email and mailing addresses, phone number, date of birth, and demographic information (such as your gender, occupation, title, and company name).

Account information, such as the username and password that you may set to establish an online account with us.

Third-Party data. We may collect information about you from other sources, including other users of the Services. For example, if a user invites you to participate in an event organized via Eventene, we may collect your name, phone number, address and e-mail address.

Feedback, such as information you provide when you contact us with questions, feedback, or otherwise correspond with us.

Geolocation information, such as when you authorize our mobile application to access your location for providing navigation assistance to an event venue.

Transaction history, such as information about your purchases from our enterprise customers. Any payment card information you provide is collected and processed directly by our payment processing partner, Stripe. We do not receive or store your payment card information. Stripe may use your payment card information in accordance with their own Privacy Policy.

Information we obtain from third-party platforms or social media networks. If you choose to login to our Services via a third-party platform or social media network, or otherwise connect your account on the third-party platform or network to your account, we may collect information from that platform or network. For example, this information may include your Facebook username, user ID, photos, and networks to which you belong. You may also have the opportunity to provide us with additional information via the third-party platform or network, such as a list of your friends or connections and their contact information.  

Engagement data, such as your preferences for receiving communications about our activities and details about how you engage with us and our communications.

Automatically collected data. We and our service providers may use cookies, beacons, pixel tags and other tracking technologies to automatically log information about you, your computer or mobile device, and your activity over time on the Services, including:

  • Device data, such as your computer or mobile device operating system type and version number, manufacturer and model, browser type, screen resolution, IP address, device identifier (such as the Google Advertising ID or Apple ID for Advertising), the websites you visited before browsing the Services, and general location information such as city, state or geographic area.
  • Online Activity data, such as browsing history, search history, whether you clicked on or opened one of our emails, which of our pages or screens you viewed, how long you spent on a page or screen, navigation paths between pages or screens, information about your activity on a page or screen, access times, and duration of access.

We use Google Analytics on our Sites to help us analyze Your use of our Sites and diagnose technical issues.

HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

Operations. We use the information that we collect in a variety of ways in operating the Services, including to:

  • provide you and our enterprise customers with the Services or functionality including organizing, coordinating and facilitating communications regarding events, and other purposes relating to the Services.
  • establish and maintain your account.
  • enable security features of the Services, such as sending you security codes via email, and remembering devices from which you have previously logged in.
  • communicate with you about the Services, including by sending you announcements, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages.
  • understand your needs and interests and personalize your experience with the Services.
  • respond to your requests, questions and feedback and provide you with customer support.
  • protect the security of the Services and our systems.

Research and development. We use the information we collect to analyze and improve our Services, user experiences, and to develop new products and services.

Marketing and promotional communications. We may send you Eventene-related marketing communications. You may always opt out, as described in the Opt-out of marketing communications section below.

Comply with law. We use the information we collect as we believe is necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, and legal process, such as to respond to subpoenas or requests from government authorities.

Compliance, fraud prevention, and safety. We may use the information we collect and disclose it to law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties as we believe necessary or appropriate to: (a) protect our, your or others’ rights, privacy, safety or property (including by making and defending legal claims); (b) enforce the terms and conditions that govern our Services; and (c) protect, investigate and deter against fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, unethical or illegal activity.

Create de-identified or aggregated data. We may create de-identified or aggregated data from the information we collect. We de-identify personal information by removing information that makes the data personally identifiable to you. We may use this data and share it with third parties.

HOW WE SHARE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may share the information we collect with:

At the Direction of our enterprise customers. Eventene may share your information with enterprise customers with third parties at the direction of the enterprise customers. Other than as described in this Privacy Policy in connection with the Services, this Privacy Policy does not apply to the processing of your information by our enterprise customers or third parties with whom Eventene shares information at the enterprise customers’ direction.

Service providers. We may share personal information with third-party entities that provide services on our behalf (such as customer support, hosting, analytics, email delivery, marketing, and database management services). When we work in our capacity as a data processor with these service providers, these service providers are Subprocessors of Eventene. We prohibit these third parties from using or sharing personal information other than as directed or authorized by us and in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.

For compliance, fraud prevention and safety. We may share your personal information for the compliance, fraud prevention and safety purposes described above, including in connection with a court order, subpoena, government investigation, or when otherwise required by law.

Professional advisors. Professional advisors, such as lawyers, auditors, bankers and insurers, where necessary in the course of the professional services that they render to us.

Business transfers. We may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of our business or assets, including your personal information, in connection with, or during negotiation of, a corporate sale, merger, acquisition, or similar event.

YOUR CHOICES

Access, delete or update your information. If you wish to review, delete, and/or revise the personal information we have stored about you, please contact us with your specific request at privacy@eventene.com. Please note that we reserve the right to retain an archive of such personal information for a commercially reasonable time to ensure that its deletion does not affect the integrity of our data.

Opt-out of marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing-related emails by following the opt-out or unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of the emails you receive from us. It may take up to 10 business days before you stop receiving promotional emails. This opt-out does not apply to operational communications, such as event confirmations. If you wish to opt out of receiving communications from organizers of events, please contact the organizer directly.

Cookies & browser web storage. Most browsers let you remove or reject cookies. To do this, follow the instructions in your browser settings. To prevent the use of Google Analytics relating to your use of the Services, you can download and install the browser plug-in available here. Many browsers accept cookies by default until you change your settings. Please note that if you set your browser to disable cookies, the Services may not work properly. Similarly, your browser settings may allow you to clear your browser web storage. Location data. Users of our mobile application also have the choice whether to allow us to access your precise location data. Your device settings may provide the ability for you to revoke our ability to access location data.

Do Not Track. Some Internet browsers may be configured to send “Do Not Track” signals to the online websites that you visit. We currently do not respond to “Do Not Track” or similar signals. To find out more about “Do Not Track,” please visit https://allaboutdnt.com.

Third-party platforms or social media networks. If you choose to connect a third-party platform or social media network to the Services, you may have the ability to limit the information that we may obtain from the third party at the time you login to the Services using the third-party’s authentication service or otherwise connect your account. Subsequently, you may be able to control your settings through the third-party’s platform or service. For example, you may access and change your settings through the Facebook settings page for applications and websites. If you withdraw our ability to access certain information from a third-party platform or social media network, that choice will not apply to information that we have already received from that third party.

CHILDREN’S INFORMATION

The Services are intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly request personal information from anyone under the age of 13 without requiring parental consent. Any person who provides their personal information to us through our Services represents that they are at least 13 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe we have collected information from your child in a manner not permitted by law, contact us at privacy@eventene.com. We will remove the data to the extent required by applicable laws.

SECURITY

Eventene maintains reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect personal Information. We cannot, however, guarantee the security of personal Information.

If you have an account with us, your account is protected by a password that you select. It is your responsibility to protect your password appropriately and to limit access to your computer or device and browser by, among other things, signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES

The Services may contain links to websites operated by third parties over which we have no control. Should you click on a link to a third-party web the privacy policy of that website will apply instead of our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content or security of third-party websites.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER

Eventene is a US company, and our privacy practices are subject to US laws and not the laws of other countries or jurisdictions. If you use the Services or otherwise interact with us, we will process your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy, in the US and other countries, where laws regarding processing of personal information may be less stringent than the laws in your country.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may change this privacy policy. If we make any changes, we will change the Last Updated date above.
